With so many shea butter moisturizer products hitting the market now a days, I feel like there’s a huge misconception going on about these products. Are all of these shea butter moisturizer products worth using? Do they actually provide all the benefits that this amazing substance offers? This special kind of butter (which is actually more like an oil) seems like it’s going to be the next acai berry, popularity-wise. It’s just packed with so many healing, moisturizing, and anti-aging properties that it’s bound to start getting TONS of attention.

Now I’m sure that most shea butter moisturizer products provide SOME benefit for your skin, but just because this ingredient is included in a product doesn’t mean you get all the benefits that come with it. Like many other kinds of skin care ingredients, the quality and potency of each batch of this substance will vary. In fact, the quality of each type is rated or graded just like any commodity would be. Grade A substances will contain ALL of the health-giving properties of shea butter, and is expensive to produce and manufacture. And substances that are grade F contain very little properties beneficial to your skin.

As far as shea butter moisturizer creams and lotions go, most of them contain a lower grade substance (especially if you can get them for under $20 or so). When you think about it, it just doesn’t make sense that the highest quality (and expensive) substance can be included in the cheapest shea butter moisturizer products, especially in effective amounts.

Most peolpe like to use shea butter because of it’s moisturizing and anti-aging benefits for my skin. In fact, this substance is a natural moisturizer, so there’s really no reason to use a moisturizing product with this ingredient in it. I just look for anti-aging products that include the greatest, premium quality shea butter in it. If it’s looking 10 years younger that you want, then you’ll need to make sure that the product you get addresses the major causes of aging. It wasn’t until I found a product that addresses these problems effectively did I start getting noticeable results with anti-aging products.
